Siemens has reaffirmed its commitment to investing in Britain, describing the UK as an ‘international and world class innovation location'. The global technology giant has outlined its commitment to developing more technologies in Britain following the G8 Innovation Conference held at the Siemens Crystal building in London on June 14th. Siemens has also called for the Government to refine its focus in bolstering research in Britain by honing in on areas of best practice. -

On Friday 14 June, 100 employees at Siemens in Newcastle alongside the Local Economic Partnership were given the opportunity to take part in an open Question and Answer (Q & A) session with Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg MP, who was visiting Newcastle as part of a tour of businesses in the North East. The informal session focused on a wide variety of issues with questions ranging from skills, regional investment and investment in the renewable energy. -
10 Jun 2013New UTC Principal promises "fresh approach” for students in Lincolnshire
Today, the three partner organisations behind Lincoln’s first-ever University Techni-cal College (UTC) - Lincoln College, the University of Lincoln and global engineering and technology firm Siemens, have announced the appointment of Dr Rona Mackenzie as the college’s new Principal. Dr Mackenzie is joining the UTC from North Kesteven School in Lincoln where she is currently Deputy Head Teacher. She will take up her new role at the UTC in September this year. The college will open officially in September 2014. -
