Siemens Healthcare in the UK sent a miniature MRI scanner to a child in America following a plea from his mother, who said the only thing her son Artie, wants for Christmas this year is a toy MRI scanner.

Siemens has been awarded a new turbine supply and service order for the Torrance wind farm, located between Scotland’s two main cities – Edinburgh and Glasgow. Siemens will supply the signalling and control equipment for the 21 kilometre long Crossrail tunnel in London, linking up the local transport system to the suburban regional services of Network Rail. The project company "Crossrail" has placed an order with the consortium made up of Siemens and Invensys. The business is worth a total of around 60 million Euros. Commissioning of the overall line is scheduled for the end of 2018.

Siemens Logistics and Airport Solutions has won the Airport Operators Association (AOA) Award for Best Service Provider 2012 for the performance of the company’s Heathrow Terminal 4 (T4) project team. The award was presented to Siemens yesterday at the annual AOA conference and exhibition, and conference dinner and awards ceremony in London.
