Today Siemens and Amegni celebrated the signing of a new service agreement for the Carno II wind farm near Newtown, Mid-Wales. The renewal will retain the services of Siemens in maintaining the 12 SWT1.3MW turbines at the site. Carno II wind farm was developed by three local farmers under their company ‘Amegni’ and has an installed capacity of 15.6 MW. The site generates enough clean energy to annually meet the needs of 11,000 homes with clean renewable energy. -

It has also received the latest generation of integrated coil technology. The hospital anticipates the new technology will enhance abdominal, orthopaedic and prostate procedures, and will provide the capability to extend its MR and angiography remit in the future. -

Siemens gas turbine manufacturing and service business in Lincoln is celebrating the efforts of its employees in generating another strong half year of giving to local charities. The company’s Charity and Donations Committee was established in 2012 to manage the annual budget allocated by the business to assist local charities. In the last six months the committee has agreed to donations totalling over £7,000. Since the committee was established it has donated over £27,000 to local causes.
