Siemens awarded new traffic project in China
Siemens has won the contract to provide the traffic signal control system for Suzhou Industrial Park’s Administrative Committee (SIPAC) ITS Phase II Project in China. Under the contract, the company will supply 110 ST950 traffic controllers, designed and manufactured by Siemens in the UK and a UTC/SCOOT traffic management system. Installation supervision, commissioning and integration services will also be provided. -

The Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), part of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is upgrading its CT capabilities with state-of-the-art technology from Siemens Healthcare. The SOMATOM® Force will allow the Hospital’s patients to be imaged quickly and easily at the lowest achievable dose. It will also allow patients to be administered with a lower quantity of contrast agent which results in a safer procedure. Along with a new CT system, the hospital is also installing an Artis zee™ Multi-Purpose (MP) from Siemens Healthcare which will be used for general fluoroscopy procedures. -

Haywood Hospital first in UK to install latest X-ray technology for enhanced
Haywood Hospital, part of Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust, has become the first in the UK to benefit from an Ysio Max digital radiography system from Siemens Healthcare. The hospital chose the system due to its light and manoeuvrable MAX detector which is allowing flexibility and promoting ease of use. This is particularly benefitting patients with restricted mobility, giving them a more comfortable experience.
