From the Highlands to the Scottish Borders, Siemens is installing and maintaining Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points for Scottish businesses. Through the ChargePlace Scotland project, 100% grant funding is available to Scottish based businesses for the installation of EV charge points for workplaces. The aim of this funding is to complement the national network of charge points being installed across Scotland to promote electric vehicle use. -

Following an increase in patient referrals, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, part of The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, has expanded its CT provision. To improve patient experience and streamline services the hospital sought to add a further imaging system to the CT department and upgrade the existing one. This resulted in the recent installation of a SOMATOM® Definition AS+ 128 slice CT system and the planned installation of a Definition AS 64 slice CT system from Siemens Healthcare. -

Siemens has received a further order for an offshore wind power plant located in Great Britain: Siemens is to supply, erect and commission 91 of its 6MW direct drive wind turbines with performance enhancing features enabling a capacity of up to approx. 580 MW in total. The wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 154 meters are slated for the Race Bank project of DONG Energy. Installation of the turbines is to commence during the spring of 2017.
