The University of East London (UEL) and global technology company Siemens have launched the Siemens Scholarship for the university’s MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering as the two organisations look to develop the future skills needed to decarbonise infrastructure and industry.

• University of East London (UEL) extends Siemens strategic partnership to design and deliver a water source heat pump situated in the River Thames.
• Project will build on recent campus green energy developments and will fully decarbonise UEL’s Library and Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability buildings, saving 258 tonnes of CO2 per year.
• The largest water source heat pump of any university, UEL aims to generate the lowest carbon emissions per student nationally by 2026 and is on track to achieve its 2030 net zero targets.

•  Siemens Mobility opens new Rail Components Distribution Centre (Goole) to further enhance delivery of materials to fleets and support our journey to Net Zero by 2050.
