Siemens Mobility's Goole Rail Village has hosted Karl Turner MP, Member of Parliament for Kingston upon Hull East, showcasing the facility's regional investment and its focus on battery bi-mode train production for UK rail.  Siemens Mobility's £240 million investment will bring up to 1,000 new jobs to East Riding of Yorkshire, as well as around 1,700 supply chain job opportunities. Mr Turner saw first-hand the site's role in boosting skills, including through its apprenticeships.

Goole currently assembles 80% of Piccadilly line trains for Transport for London. The Rail Village intends to produce battery bi-mode trains to help modernise the UK network.
