Siemens plc CEO, Carl Ennis, to retire

After more than 25 years with Siemens, Carl Ennis has decided to retire from his role as Chief Executive Officer for Siemens plc, effective 30 April 2026.

During his career with Siemens, Carl has worked in the UK and internationally and has played a significant role in the ongoing success and growth of the business. He has led the team in the UK and Ireland as CEO for over six years, working closely with customers, partners and colleagues across the region and beyond.

“On behalf of Siemens, I want to thank Carl Ennis for more than two decades of service. Carl’s dedication to our customers paved the way to lasting relationships founded on trust, innovation, and partnership,” said Matthias Rebellius, managing board member of Siemens AG and CEO of Smart Infrastructure.

Commenting on his decision, Carl Ennis said: “It has been a privilege to be part of Siemens for so long, and to work alongside so many talented people. I’m grateful for the support, trust and friendship I have received, and I’m incredibly proud to have contributed to the ongoing success of the business.”

A formal process is underway to identify Carl’s successor.
