Siemens Service business in Lincoln has been awarded a multi-million pound long-term service agreement for major liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Australia

Exhibiting for the first time at GreenFleet Arrive'n'Drive at Rockingham Motor Speedway on Thursday 17 May, Siemens will promote the company’s increasingly popular electromobility solutions for the evolving UK Electric Vehicle market. On show will be the Siemens CP500A fast charging point, that can provide fast charging facilities for two electric vehicles at the same time.

Ruth Humphrey has been appointed as Project Director - Depots, for Siemens Rail Systems. Based at the company’s Westminster offices, Ruth will have overall responsibility for delivery of the Thameslink depots at Hornsey (London Borough of Haringey) and Three Bridges (Crawley, West Sussex).

In the first quarter of this year Siemens has reached a UK milestone of three gigawatt (3GW) wind power generation capacity from its onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Siemens Metals Technologies (Special Products Unit), based in Christchurch , has been announced as the winner of the Queen’s Award for their outstanding achievement in growing overseas earnings, showing good year on year growth, with an overall growth of 73 per cent since 2008 recorded.

Siemens Magnet Technology, based in Eynsham, Oxford, has been announced as the winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation 2012. The business, which designs and manufactures superconducting magnets for medical scanners used around the world, has been recognised by Her Majesty the Queen and the Prime Minister, David Cameron.

Siemens has been selected to take part in an exhibition demonstrating the very best of British manufacturing this summer.

Siemens implements low carbon transport solution

Last month, as part of a Groundwork and Business in the Community (BITC) supported project, a dozen volunteers from Siemens in South Tyneside agreed to get their hands dirty in a bid to transform an area used by local cyclists and walkers.
