Siemens has been awarded a contract by Northern Powergrid to deliver an innovative smart grid solution for the UK’s most advanced low carbon network project.

Siemens announces its success as part of a consortium led by the University of Lincoln and Lincoln College in its bid to establish a University Technical College (UTC) in Lincoln. The Lincoln UTC was one of fifteen UTCs announced by the Government yesterday, which will be opened over the next two years.

MaXccess was designed by OSBIT Power Ltd and has been tested by a strategic alliance of Siemens, OSBIT Power, Statoil and Fred Olsen Windcarrier to establish the effectiveness of the design.
