New centre set to further grow the company’s rail service business

A significant long term service agreement has been awarded to Siemens Energy Service Fossil by Barking Power Ltd, one of largest independently owned generating plants in the UK.

The UK is at a turning point in energy management. Until recently, it was only industrial and commercial organisations, driven by economics and legislation, which had to address the issue of energy consumption.

Siemens has announced that it has won a new transformer replacement contract with ScottishPower Energy Networks at its Govan substation in Scotland. Siemens has worked with ScottishPower Energy Networks for over fifteen years. This latest contract is focused on asset modernisation to improve efficiency through the replacement and overhaul of existing transformers and the fitting out of the substation as part of a two-year improvement programme. The whole programme is targeted for final completion by 2013.

Siemens, the global engineering company today announces a reseller agreement with GridPoint, an established leader in smart energy solutions, for energy management and sub-metering solutions.

A joint partnership between the Carbon Trust and Siemens to provide UK businesses with green equipment finance worth up to £550 million over the next three years has been announced today.
