Siemens Mobility welcomes Austrian Ambassador to Goole Rail Village
- The company welcomed the Austrian Ambassador, Bernhard Wrabetz, to its state-of-the-art Rail Village in Goole.
- The Ambassador toured the recently opened Train Manufacturing Facility where 80% of the new Piccadilly line trains will be assembled.
- During the visit, the Ambassador gained insights into the company’s commitment to creating local jobs with an additional investment in Goole of up to £40 million for a Bogie Assembly and Service Centre.

HiiROC partners with Siemens to boost clean hydrogen production
- HiiROC and Siemens sign a Memorandum of Understanding to provide advanced control technology and ensure the safe automation of hydrogen production.
- HiiROC’s Thermal Plasma Electrolysis (TPE) process produces clean hydrogen and solid carbon, using significantly less electricity than water electrolysis and without creating carbon dioxide.

New Goole Train Manufacturing Facility opening marks significant milestone for Siemens Mobility's commitment to the North of England
- The Secretary of State for Transport, Louise Haigh and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan attends official opening
- Siemens also announced a new investment of up to £40m in addition to the £200 million investment in the Goole Rail Village, creating up to a further 300 jobs
- The Rail Village will now bring up to 1,000 new jobs to the East Riding of Yorkshire, as well as around 1,700 supply chain job opportunities
- 80% of London’s new Piccadilly Line trains will be assembled in Goole, with all future Siemens trains for the UK to be built in Goole

Siemens Mobility's internship scheme empowers young people with learning disabilities to gain valuable work experience
- Siemens Mobility welcomes six special educational needs (SEND) interns at the Goole Rail Village.
- The supported internships will see the young adults complete full-time work experience at the Goole site alongside their college learning.
- This initiative comes as research reveals only 4.8% of individuals with learning disabilities or autism spectrum conditions in England are in permanent paid employment, compared to 80% of their peers.
