Siemens announces proposals for new site development in Lincoln
Siemens has announced today its decision to go ahead with revised relocation plans for its industrial gas turbine service business currently located at Firth Road and Olympic House, as well as its overhaul workshop from Ruston Works to a new site in Lincoln. The service business together with Siemens other operations in Lincoln have enjoyed a record order year. The proposed move will capitalise on this success and represents a significant new investment in the Lincoln business, to facilitate growth and expansion. -

Siemens awards offshore substation contract to Harland and Wolff
Siemens has announced that it has awarded a contract for two offshore substation structures for one of the largest wind farm developments in the UK to Belfast yard Harland and Wolff (H&W). To date Siemens has used British yards for all six of its offshore substations for the UK. This latest win for H&W will further help to develop the UK supply chain, create jobs and stimulate the local economy. The substation structures form part of Siemens’ contract to design and build the onshore and offshore substations for the 576MW Gwynt y Môr (GYM) offshore wind farm in Liverpool Bay. -
