International clinicians expand Cardiovascular CT knowledge via advanced Siemens training
A comprehensive four-day training course run by experts from Royal Brompton Hospital and supported by the National Heart and Lung Institute and Siemens Healthcare has been successfully completed by Cardiac Radiologists and Imaging Cardiologists from the UK, Denmark and India. It was designed to provide advanced, practical experience and build knowledge of Cardiovascular CT technology and procedures. -

St Thomas’ Hospital boosts ERCP procedures with UK’s first Large Display Artis zee MP
St Thomas’ Hospital, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, has installed an Artis zeeTM Multi-purpose (MP) system from Siemens Healthcare into its new state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit. The interventional imaging system is the first in the UK to be installed with a large 56-inch full colour screen. During the installation, Siemens worked closely with the hospital and other providers to supply a fully integrated solution. All the image signals are managed by the Siemens Large Display controller to provide a versatile display and integrate fully with the hospital’s impressive facilities. -

Pall Mall Medical to provide holistic diagnostic service following triple system installation
Pall Mall Medical, a private diagnostic and surgical centre in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, has recently installed three new medical imaging systems from Siemens Healthcare. The MAGNETOM® Aera MR, SOMATOM® Emotion CT and Multix Select DR systems will allow the centre to provide a holistic diagnostic service provision to its patients. The centre, which provides full day care diagnostic facilities and 12 beds, will have the systems in use seven days a week. -

Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to boost imaging capability
Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, part of NHS Lothian, has ordered a ceiling-mounted Artis zeeTM interventional imaging system and a MAGNETOM® Aera MR system from Siemens Healthcare to bolster its imaging services. The technology was procured as part of the NHS Lothian imaging equipment replacement programme, meeting the continued requirement to provide optimal diagnostic imaging to patients.
