Siemens open new Nottingham site
Siemens opened their new Nottingham offices at Central Park, Lenton Lane Industrial Park. The move of 300 employees to an upgraded 31,000 sq ft building represents the biggest business letting in Nottingham in 18 months, and was officially opened by local MP Lilian Greenwood MP this afternoon. -

Siemens unveils all-new passively safe traffic signal poles
Siemens, a global leader in traffic management technology, has unveiled a new range of passively safe traffic signal poles. Performance-rated against BS EN 12767, the new range offers customers longer life passively safe poles in a wide variety of forms, finish and lengths from 2m to 6m. The new poles are CE marked with a unique specification label confirming key features as required by BS EN 12899 including construction material, corrosion resistance and strength characteristics. -

London Midland’s Siemens Class 350/2 (which is owned by Porterbrook and maintained at Siemens’ Kings Heath depot in Northampton) has been awarded the 2017 Modern Railways Golden Spanner (First Generation Electrical Multiple Unit), achieving an amazing reliability figure of 164,481 miles per technical incident. -

Oxfordshire deploys traffic weight enforcement system from Siemens
A new traffic enforcement system has been introduced by Trading Standards in Oxfordshire to help protect one of the oldest river crossings on the River Thames at Newbridge. Supplied and supported by leading traffic technology supplier Siemens, it’s the first time that Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras are being used to enforce a road weight restriction in the county. -
