Valerie Todd joins Siemens from Crossrail Ltd where she was the Talent & Resources Director, responsible for ensuring Europe’s largest infrastructure project had the right people, in the right place at the right time. Prior to this, Valerie was the Managing Director (Group Services) at Transport for London.
Ms Todd brings a wealth of experience to Siemens. She was the chairman of the Investors in People Community Interest Company; she has also been a UK Government advisor on skills and employment as a Commissioner at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.
In 2014 Valerie Todd was awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to skills, employment and promoting equality.
Juergen Maier said: I would like to pay tribute to Toby Peyton-Jones for his major contribution to steering the development of Siemens over many years. In moving on from his role as HR Director he will continue to represent Siemens externally in the crucial field of “Skills, Education and the Future of Work” a topic area where he is already a well-established national voice.”

Valerie Todd appointed as Human Resources Director, Siemens UK & Ireland
Siemens plc has appointed Valerie Todd, CBE as Human Resources Director, Siemens UK & Ireland. The new appointment will follow the retirement of Toby Peyton-Jones and is effective from 1st October 2018.
