Take a virtual tour with Siemens at Railtex

Visit the Siemens stand to experience a 3D, virtual and augmented reality railway

Visitors to this year’s Railtex (9-11 May, NEC Birmingham) can step into tomorrow’s railway, today, by visiting the Siemens stand – taking a hi-tech tour around the company’s rail offering.

In addition to gaining information about Siemens’ comprehensive rail portfolio – covering rolling stock, signalling, control and automation and rail electrification – those visiting stand N11 will be able to:

  • Use 3D to configure their own metro train
  • Build a simulated traincare facility using the latest technology
  • Enter a daily competition by driving an augmented reality train
  • Find out more about the Digital Railway (and attend a presentation by Siemens Digital Railway Director, Mark Ferrer, at 12.30pm on 9th May in the Seminar Theatre)
  • Explore the world of high speed in an interactive way
  • See how augmented reality is being used to develop railway skills
  • View the very latest in train communications
  • See how rail electrification programmes and solutions fit with the smart grid
