Frimley, UK, 2018-Mar-08
Phil, who has been with Siemens for four years, will be responsible for the development and implementation of the business strategy to drive further growth for IDS solutions.
His new role will see Phil take responsibility for the delivery of the IDS strategy across Siemens Digital Factory (DF) and Process & Drives (PD) divisions, including leading the IDS team and collaborating with the DF and PD sales teams.
Phil Banks, Head of Strategy, Integrated Drive Systems, Siemens UK & Ireland, said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to head up the Siemens UK & Ireland IDS strategic offering. I look forward to further developing the answers our customers are looking for around drive systems and how Siemens’ ‘one stop shop’ for entire drive trains can play a key role for them. Our customers face challenges around digitalisation adoption and adhering to new standards and whether for process applications or in the discrete industries, only the consistent integration into the entire production environment is the answer for future-proofed drive applications.
Mike Houghton, Managing Director of Siemens Process Industries and Drive UK, added: “The market opportuntiies in the UK are substantial, and now more than ever manufacturers need to do more to boost productivity. Phil will prove instrumental in developing and implementing our business strategy across important industrial markets.
