LCV is considered the world’s leading international showcase for technology and innovation in electric, hybrid and fuel cell vehicle design, development and manufacture. The event takes place over 2 days: Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 September 2016.
Visit Siemens on stand C3-103, to see the company’s comprehensive range of EV charging solutions. Certified to all relevant industry standards, the Siemens range provides cost-effective and rugged charging for all EV types.
Siemens single and dual outlet AC chargers are available in wall, floor or post mounted options and have power outputs ranging from 3.7kW single phase up to 22kW three phase. Our triple-output rapid charger supports CHAdeMO and CCS DC charging and includes an additional AC outlet. Available in both 50kW and 20kW variants, the chargers are configurable to suit available inlet power and incorporate a large, clear user interface, meeting the requirements of the most demanding customers.
For fleet customers who need a compact rapid charging solution, Siemens offers the
QC24S wall-mounting rapid charger. Designed to provide 24kW charging via CCS
connector to European EVs this compact and stylish device is ideal for business-critical
fleet charging.
All chargers are backed by the Siemens UK-wide network of experienced EV installation
and maintenance engineers, giving rapid response to call-outs and minimising charger
downtime.
Representing Siemens for the first time at LCV is Anne Buckingham our new Business
Development Manager - Electromobility. Anne joins us from SSE and is already very
familiar with both the EV market and industry, having previously been responsible for
developing Electric Vehicle Sector Strategies.
Also at LCV 2016, Siemens is demonstrating its connected & autonomous vehicle
infrastructure systems expertise on stand number C2-27a, alongside project partner
AESIN.
Siemens has begun working on its latest Connected & Autonomous Vehicles (CAV)
project, in a collaborative partnership, to create one of the UK’s most advanced
environments for CAV technologies. Together with nine other consortium members, the
UK Connected Intelligent Transport Environment (UK CITE) project will see CAV trials on
UK roads as early as next year, following a successful application for funding from the
Government’s £100 million Intelligent Mobility Fund.
Paul Brookes our Head of Research and Development will also be presenting at LCV2016. In a paper titled Low Carbon Traffic - Integrating Siemens Traffic Controls and the Connected Vehicle, Paul will explore the benefits of integrating connected vehicles with traffic control systems in order to reduce emissions and produce smoother journeys.
