Poole, 2016-Sep-15
The papers will be delivered by Head of Product Management, Keith Manston, judged best speaker in previous years, and Craig Cameron from the company’s Consultancy Services team. The event takes place over 2 days: Thursday 15 and Friday 16 September 2016.
Craig Cameron’s paper, Advanced MOVA Group Linking on Distributed Controllers, looks at a new way of linking MOVA controllers and reviews its effectiveness across a number of sites where the technique has been adopted.
Siemens’ second paper, presented by Keith Manston, is titled “Is security of access to on-street traffic equipment important in today’s “hacker-infested” landscape”. Ever more on-street equipment is IP connected to complex central systems via the Internet and therefore at potential risk from hackers and those who want to disrupt traffic flow or simply cause a nuisance. Keith’s paper explores additional security measures to protect the equipment and connected networks from attack.
Based on a comprehensive range of sustainable traffic products and intelligent systems, and with a growing number of ITS research projects underway across the world, Siemens ITS solutions and expertise is at the heart of integrated mobility and connected infrastructure. Sales and Marketing Director, Matthew Vincent said ‘Supporting JCT underlines Siemens’ commitment to the UK traffic market and industry, addressing traffic-related challenges now and in the future.’
Siemens was established in the United Kingdom more than 170 years ago and now employs 14,500 people in the UK.
