Siemens Mobility supports local food bank in Goole with substantial donation for the fourth year in a row.

  • Siemens Mobility’s donates £5,000 to Two Rivers Community Pantry, Goole to provide sweet treats, toys, and Christmas theatre tickets to families in need.
  • Staff donate additional toys and festive items to bring festive cheer to those in need.

Siemens Mobility announced its continued support for the Two Rivers Community Pantry in Goole, for the fourth consecutive year, with a substantial donation of £5,000. This donation will enable the food bank to provide a range of festive items, including chocolate tubs, biscuits, toys, chocolate selection boxes, and Christmas crackers. This year, Siemens Mobility added to their annual donation by supplying tickets for children and families to attend a Christmas show of Hansel and Gretel at the local theatre, The Junction.

Natalie Thornton, Operations Support Manager for Siemens Mobility in Goole, said:

“Once again, we have enjoyed volunteering at Two Rivers Community Pantry. The day spent clearing space for the donations to come, provided a fantastic team building opportunity for the 28 new starters who joined team Goole last month.

I am proud to see the great number of toy and food donations the team have made. We hope our contributions can make a difference this Christmas.”

By contributing to the local foodbank, Siemens Mobility aims to make a difference in the lives of families who are struggling during the holiday season. Many children and families miss out on activities like attending a Christmas show due to the cost-of-living crisis. Therefore, Siemens Mobility's donation of tickets will allow families to experience the local arts and have a wonderful evening of festive fun. Each family will receive a voucher to attend a showing of their choice, ensuring that they can enjoy this special treat according to their own preferences.

Councillor Anne Handley, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and ward councillor for Goole North, said:

“We have been delighted to see Siemens Mobility’s continued support Goole and the wider community over last few years. Their ongoing support for important causes, such as the community pantry, is a testament to their commitment to Goole and our people. Their time spent volunteering and generous donations make a real difference to individuals and families at this time of year.

On behalf of the local community, I would like to share my appreciation for the donation and team’s support. ”

To facilitate the storage and packaging of the donations for the Christmas activities, 30 Siemens Mobility colleagues have prepared a dedicated space at Two Rivers Community Pantry. They have cleared clutter, furniture, and developed storage solutions to ensure that the gifts can be stored and gathered efficiently for delivery by the foodbank team.

Siemens Mobility is committed to making a positive impact within the communities it serves and is proud to support the Two Rivers Community Pantry in Goole for the fourth year running. The company remains dedicated to fostering a sense of community and contributing to the well-being of individuals and families in need.
