Frimley, UK, 2017-Oct-26
The rankings have been compiled from research with over 19,000 final year students from thirty top universities, who were interviewed by High Fliers Research for The UK Graduate Careers Survey. Finalists were asked the open-ended question 'Which employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?'
The result represents Siemens highest ever placing in the rankings and is a climb of 27 places from last year. Siemens continues to invest heavily in UK graduate engagement and recruitment and runs a UK-wide university engagement programme, which includes engaging future talents at careers fairs, and through innovative gaming experiences and competitions, and offers a wealth of opportunities, from UK and international graduate schemes, to year-long placements and summer internships. By establishing these links with universities Siemens hopes to give valuable opportunities to young people from across the UK, increasing their employability and skill base, as well as gaining great input into the ongoing development of Siemens in the UK.
Rachel Wilson, Head of Talent Acquisition in the UK said “Achieving this position in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers is tremendous news and a clear indication that there is a growing interest in joining a global engineering company that creates technologies that build our society and our future. At Siemens, we’re not just engineers but we’re scientists, mechanics, computer geniuses, designers, and sales professionals, to name but a few, who are creating the future every day. Anyone who is interested in finding out how they can become a future maker with Siemens, can discover more about our opportunities at www.siemens.co.uk/careers.”
