Siemens Financial Services named Overall Winner at Auto Vending Innovation Awards 2006

Selected because of proven dedication to and enthusiasm for the vending industry

United Kingdom, 2006-Sep-22

Siemens Financial Services, the leading provider of finance to the vending industry, last night won the accolade of ‘Overall Winner’ at the Auto Vending Innovation Awards 2006, at a Ceremony held at One Whitehall Place, London.

The Awards recognise and reward the very highest standards of individual and collective achievement from vending suppliers and operators, and are the most renowned and sought after in the industry. The event attracted some 60 nominations from companies as diverse as Vodafone, Nestle, Masterfoods and Tate & Lyle.

John Sewell, Editor, Auto Vending, said, “Our judges were looking for the ‘wow factor’. In the case of Siemens Financial Services it was a combination of the company’s proven dedication to and enthusiasm for the vending industry; the quality and knowledge of its personnel; flexibility; and its understanding of the business, all in addition, of course, to the product itself.”

Kevin Reed, Sales Manager, Siemens Financial Services, said, “For many years Siemens has believed that innovation is as much about service, orientation and approach as it is about product and technology. In making us overall winner we are delighted that the award judges have also realised this. I would like to thank all our staff for their excellent work over the past years and our customers for their ongoing support.“

This award follows recent independent recognition of Siemens as the leading provider of finance to the public sector.

About the Auto Vending Innovation Awards 2006

The fourth in the series, the Auto Vending Innovation Awards 2006 were designed to recognise companies which have shown innovation and achievement in any one of six categories.

Nominations from the industry for each of the categories were evaluated by a panel of expert judges representing all sides of the UK vending business, to identify the top three nominations in each category.

In addition to receiving their category awards (ie for 1st, 2nd and 3rd), the top three in each sector were scored separately for the title of Overall Winner. For this, the judges were looking for companies that had also achieved a clear impact outside of the immediate category for which they were nominated. Each judge independently gave a score out of 20 for each company.
