Siemens exhibits innovative rail portfolio at Railtex

- digital solutions, virtual reality and augmented reality showcased

With under two weeks to go until Railtex 2017 opens its doors at the NEC Birmingham
(9-11 May), Siemens is offering a preview into its innovative exhibition stand which features digital solutions, virtual reality and augmented reality to showcase its comprehensive rail offering.

Those visiting stand N11 will be able to explore:

  • Siemens’ full rail offering, covering rolling stock, signalling, automation and control and electrification
  • A brand new train cab radio
  • An augmented reality ‘train driving’ competition with a winner each day
  • 3D virtual reality solutions, including a metro configurator and an innovative depot simulator, as well as an ETCS (European Train Control System) driver’s desk
  • A new touchscreen exhibit focusing on high speed rail

Additionally, Mark Ferrer, Director, Digital Railway at Siemens, will be taking centre stage on 9 May at 12.30pm with a technical presentation titled: “The Digital Railway: increasing capacity and improving reliability” and each day Siemens will stream a live presentation on a topic of interest direct from the stand.
