The head of the Siemens Diagnostics facility, Ed Farrell and Siemens employees in Llanberis welcomed the company’s global President and CEO, Peter Löscher, to the site for the first time this week.

In addition to meeting with the management team and employee representatives, Mr Löscher answered questions from the crowd of 550 staff based in Llanberis. The global CEO also toured the impressive facilities that have recently been expanded and modernised. Mr Löscher praised employees for the enormous efforts made dealing with an influx of new products after the transfer project. He also remarked that the Llanberis site, situated at the foot of Mt. Snowdon, was one of the most scenic Siemens sites he had ever visited.

“We’re at home in 190 countries around the world, and every single employee contributes to the success of our company. That’s why I’m eager to get a close-up view of the achievements of employees at Llanberis in Wales during my Europe trip this year,” Mr Löscher said. After a ‘town hall’ meeting with employees, Julie Roberts, chairperson of the staff consultative group, presented Peter Löscher with a slate clock commemorating his visit to the Llanberis site.

As part of a yearly summer trip to various locations around the world, Mr Löscher also visited offices and factories in Poland, France, Germany and Norway.

The Siemens facility in Llanberis manufactures and distributes IMMULITE® reagents used on blood analysers in hospitals and clinics worldwide to aid the diagnosis of medical conditions.-ends-
