Siemens has appointed Faye Bowser as Managing Director of Smart Infrastructure Buildings for Great Britain and Ireland. In this role, she will lead the company’s work with developers, asset owners and occupiers to deliver smart, and increasingly autonomous, buildings powered by AI that improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and enhance occupant experience.
Faye joins from her previous position as Global Vice President for the Higher Education vertical market, where she worked with universities globally to modernise campuses and accelerate the transition to low-carbon, digitally enabled infrastructure. This includes partnerships in the UK such as the University of East London, where Siemens is working to create a smart, sustainable campus environment where students, academics and occupiers can thrive, supported by initiatives that enhance engagement, skills and real-world innovation.
With more than two decades of experience at Siemens, Faye brings extensive expertise across infrastructure and building management and large-scale business transformation. Her career has focused on helping complex organisations adopt new technologies, improve operational performance and deliver against sustainability goals.
In her new role, Faye will lead Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Buildings business across Great Britain and Ireland, supporting customers to create smarter, more efficient and more sustainable buildings. This includes deploying AI-enabled digital technologies that optimise building performance, reduce energy consumption and enhance occupant experience alongside advanced fire safety and protection solutions, across sectors such as education, healthcare and commercial real estate.
Siemens supports customers to transform buildings into intelligent, connected environments by bringing together data, using AI and digital twin technologies. By integrating systems such as heating, ventilation, lighting, energy and security into a single digital platform, buildings can continuously monitor performance, predict demand and analyse performance. Importantly, this allows buildings to autonomously react and adapt in real time, enhancing energy efficiency and resilience.
Faye’s appointment comes at a critical time for the built environment, as organisations are under growing pressure to manage increasingly complex estates with fewer resources, while improving energy performance, resilience and occupant experience.
