Andreas J Goss also expressed his appreciation for the work of Jens-Peter Saul, who held the role of Energy Sector managing director since 2008. Saul has now moved to the position of CEO of Siemens Wind Power, globally.
Following the acquisition of Westinghouse, Matthew Chinn joined Siemens in 1998 and has held a number of management assignments in the UK, USA, Middle East, Asia and Germany before his position as Head of the European service business for the global Energy Services Division.
Reflecting on his appointment Matthew said: “I am very excited at the prospect of leading the Energy Sector at this time. The sector has many innovative and unique offerings that meet the needs of the whole energy conversion chain. I am especially excited by developments in areas such as windpower, but also across the whole portfolio. I look forward to contributing further to the work of this highly dedicated and committed team.” Over the next few months Matthew will be visiting Siemens’ Energy's sites across North West Europe and meeting with key customers and other key stakeholders.
