New UK head of Siemens Low and Medium Voltage Division

Paul Fisher joins the company as managing director for the division based at the com-pany’s offices in Cannock.

Previously Managing Director of Contactum Limited, a Middle East owned manufacturer of electrical products, Paul has many years experience in the low and medium voltage markets both within the UK and internationally, and has held senior management positions within Eaton, Moeller and Weidmüller. Paul graduated with a BSc Econ from London School of Economics and has an MBA from Cranfield University.

As one of the world’s leading suppliers for power distribution, Siemens offers the entire range of market-specific medium- and low-voltage products, systems and solutions. These are used for city and utility grids, industrial applications and infrastructures, and are of fundamental importance for a reliable, efficient, and stable power supply.

Speaking about his new leadership role, Paul said: "I’m delighted to be joining Siemens and I relish the opportunity to lead and help grow this very interesting business”.

As part of his remit, Paul will also assume responsibility for the Electrium low-voltage products business, one of the leading vendors of British Standards wiring accessories, circuit protection systems and switches and sockets, with brands Crabtree, Wylex and Volex. Electrium has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens since January 2006.
