Siemens has today announced that Neil Corner, currently director at Siemens gas turbine service business will succeed Nick Muntz as the new managing director for Siemens in Lincoln. Mr Corner will take over the role effective on 1 October 2014.
The changes form part of Siemens global reorganisation of its divisional businesses, including Power & Gas Distributed Generation (PGDG), of which Siemens operations in Lincoln are part.
Nick Muntz, who has held the role since 2007 and will take on a new director’s role within Siemens in Germany said:
“I am delighted to announce news of Neil’s appointment. Neil is a natural successor to this role. We have worked alongside one another for the last four years and Neil knows the combined business inside out and what is required to take the business to the next phase of growth. “

Mr Corner has worked for Siemens for nineteen years having first joined Firth Road as a development engineer before transferring to the sales department. Following a period working for GE & BP, Neil returned to Siemens as regional sales director for the gas turbine manufacturing business before transferring to the service business as marketing and sales director. He has been director of Service, now located at Teal Park, Lincoln, since 2010.
Mr Corner will be joined by John Hunt as new chief financial officer responsible for the manufacturing and service businesses at Feilden House, Teal Park and Main Works in the City Centre. Mr Hunt has worked for Siemens for nine years having joined the Lincoln business as Head of Accounting, Reporting and Controlling. Michael Gray, the previous chief financial officer, will take up a new role as CFO of the acquired Rolls Royce Service business (subject to deal closing).
