Leadership change at Siemens in the UK

Siemens has announced today (1 November 2011) that Andreas J. Goss, the current Chief Executive of Siemens plc, will step down from his position at the end of 2011 at his own request. Mr Goss will leave the company to pursue new professional challenges.

Brigitte Ederer, Head of Human Resources and a member of the Managing Board, Siemens AG, thanked Andreas Goss for his more than 21 years service to Siemens and, in particular, for the major successes that Siemens in the UK has achieved under his leadership, both as Chief Financial Officer since 2006 and as Chief Executive since 2008.

Roland Aurich (53) has been named as the new Chief Executive of Siemens plc with effect from 1st January 2012. Mr Aurich, a Swedish national, is currently the President & CEO of Siemens in Canada and, prior to this position, he served as CEO of Siemens in Sweden.
