The 7T system will be installed in the Imaging Centre of Excellence Building and the 3T on the same campus, both at the South Glasgow University Hospital (SGUH). The SGUH will uniquely enable clinical research to take place to uncover physiological information that can only be seen through powerful, ultra-high frequency MR. The 7T scanner will offer researchers the opportunity to learn more about a host of brain conditions such as stroke, dementia, brain tumours, Parkinson’s, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
