Notes to editors:
Renowned as the largest and most important event of its kind in the world, the Salzburg Festival enjoys an excellent fit with Siemens. Siemens has supported the Salzburg Festival since 1995 and became a Main Sponsor four years later. Shortly afterwards, the Siemens Festival Nights were founded by Siemens Austria in collaboration with the Salzburg Festival and the Austrian Broadcasting Company (ORF Salzburg) with the aim of utilizing modern technologies to make art and culture accessible to a wider audience. Siemens has long been a loyal supporter of the Salzburg Festival with the Siemens Festival Nights in Salzburg’s historic centre, and celebrated the Festival’s tenth anniversary in 2011.
